These artisans have mastered the art of bead-making, transforming repurposed materials such as clay, cane, calabash, recycled fabric, and glass into beautiful jewelry. Their skills also extend to wood carving, Kente weaving, basket weaving, and pottery design, each craft echoing generations of cultural knowledge.

Kente weaving

Not only can you beat your own drum, but you can make a drum of your own with the guidance of a master drum builder, everything you need is provided so you can get right to it. Take our drum builder workshop and build the drum you want to march to.
Culinary Experiences

At Nunya Village you can try your hand at making groundnut soup and okra stew, as well as banku and Ghana’s national dish, fufu, all in a traditional way and in a typical Adaklu kitchen with the help of an experienced chef.

Your Stay at Nunya Village
Participants will use hotel accommodation during their volunteer experience at
Nunya Village. Additionally, volunteers will have a host family community life experience as an optional service. The host family accommodations are arranged based on the nature of the community, be it rural or urban, the distance of the program from the community, and the available social amenities. Necessary arrangements are put in place to ensure volunteers
comfort, and safety throughout their stay.
Meals & Purified Water
Our guests are provided with a cuisine blend of foreign and local dishes. As much as we want participants to enjoy the best of the host community, we are also mindful of allergies and other dietary needs. We provide 3 main meals a day, thus Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with inbetween fruit snacks and purified bottled water
